KURT ALLISON
Kurt Allison spent his childhood on the south-side of Des Moines. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1986 and immediately dove into a career of professional music.
He spent the first 10 years of his career performing in his father’s rhythm-and-blues band before re-locating to Nashville. In 1999, he started performing with then up-and-coming country music star Jason Aldean. Now, a decade-and-a-half later, Allison is the long-standing guitarist in Aldean’s touring band, playing arenas and stadiums worldwide with the award-winning country star.
When not on the road, he’s producing smash country hits, like “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” by Thompson Square, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s US Hot Country songs and went double platinum. Allison recently received his first CMA Triple Play Award, for the Jason Aldean smashes reaching #1 in a 12-month span: “Blame It On You”, “Trouble With A Heartbreak”, and “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood.
